I have gone back to look at BNSF source material concerning Grain shipments to San Bernardino and Verdemont in particular. This is what I found:
Concise highlights for Grain shipments to Verdemont
1. Unit Grain train from midwest of 110 to 120 cars direct to San Bernardino. 2. Minimum of 26 cars blocked to each destination. 3. Four different blocks maximum per train. 4. San Bernardino has a Grain car to truck unloading facility in San Bernardino that is not modeled in Run8 5. Unit Grain train from midwest must return with the same 110 to 120 cars as a blocked unit.
I have the original BNSF Documents if anyone wants to look at them.
From this I suggest that the Grain train from SBD to Cargill should be 26 cars to be unloaded at a time. Then transferred back to SBD. Cuts of 10 cars, then 8 cars and 8 cars can be handled at Cargill. Also, some of the Grain cars should be unloaded at SBD while sitting in the East "B" Yard to represent the Grain to truck unloading facility not modeled.
